Staff Receives Donated Groceries

We have been blessed to witness such great acts of kindness and generosity during this difficult and trying time. An anonymous angel worked closely with a Wisconsin based grocery store and organic farm to deliver 70 bags of groceries to our staff at Rochester East Health Services. Our staff has been dedicated to serving our residents throughout this pandemic, working long hours, leaving little time for themselves and their families.

The Poynette, Wisconsin based Piggly Wiggly donated cans of tuna, granola bars, and other non-perishable items in addition to the bags of groceries. OrgaNick Pastures in Rio, Wisconsin also donated 75 dozen eggs from their organic farm.

In addition to the bags of groceries for our staff, special notes were left on the windshields of their cars recognizing their courage and tireless effort:

“Dear Rochester East Staff,
Thank you for all that you do!

You face risks every day  with unwavering commitment and love.  We sincerely appreciate all of your efforts.  Please continue to keep yourself and your residents as safe and healthy as possible.  We love you! –  Anonymous”

Our center team and North Shore would like to thank Piggly Wiggly owner Brandon Sosinsky in PoynetteWI, OrgaNick Pastures in Rio, WI, and the individual who coordinated this extraordinary effort for their time and donations. The impact you have made through your generosity will last a lifetime.
