North Shore Expands Hospice Services to Central Wisconsin
North Shore at Home (NSAH), a member of the North Shore Health family, is expanding its hospice services into Central Wisconsin.
Three years ago, North Shore launched NSAH to provide a comprehensive range of home health and hospice services for those in need of ongoing medical care in the community. Initially, NSAH served Southeastern Wisconsin, but now provides care to patients in 25 counties across Wisconsin to meet the growing needs of the communities.
The addition of services to Central Wisconsin allows NSAH to support patients and their families at every level, including when life expectancy is reduced.
“Partnering with our Central Wisconsin communities, North Shore at Home now provides specialized care delivered by a team of experts when the prognosis is measured in months, instead of years and comfort is the primary goal,” said Curtiss Elliott, Vice President of NSAH.
Hospice includes nursing and physician services, 24/7 availability on-call with staff, volunteer companionship and nursing, spiritual/emotional, caregiver, grief/bereavement, physician, and hospice aide services.
“With the addition of hospice services, our patients in Central Wisconsin communities can live out their days how they want, where they want, surrounded by a compassionate and supportive care team,” Elliott said.
