Her Path Brought Her to AR, but the People Kept Her Here

Gail Holland’s path to becoming the VP of Finance at North Shore Healthcare started in the accounting department for a long-term care company, Beverly Enterprises, which later became Golden Living.

Gail went from the accounting department to the field as career expansion and she really enjoyed that environment. Eventually, Gail became the VP of Finance for one of the divisions at Golden Living.

Later, Gail transitioned to an Accounts Receivable role due to issues in the AR department. It is in Accounts Receivable that she finds herself still in today! 

“I enjoy what I do because the AR side helps provide great customer service to the residents and families. We make sure they understand their benefits and we bill appropriately. This is an area of confusion for most, and it is satisfying to know our department can help,” says Gail. She often takes the stance and reminds her team that the Business Office Managers in the centers are the front line, and it is her team’s job to simply be there to support them, the residents, and their families. Gail also says, “Of course, it is also satisfying to know what we do reimburses the company for the services provided. That enables us to continue providing care and enhancing future services.”
