North Shore employees shared how the Leadership Academy impacted them.
“The WHCA/WiCAL Leadership Academy provided a great amount of self-reflection and real-life scenarios that are applicable to our daily work. This allows me to better understand myself but also how to be a better leader for my team.” – Rachael Bolder
“The Leadership Academy experience is unlike any other. This academy provides a safe space to learn, grow, and break down barriers that I didn’t even know existed. I learned so much not only about myself, but also about those I serve and lead. You start as individuals and leave as a support system for each other. I learned that not only are we powerful as individual leaders, but we are unstoppable together.” – Elizabeth Karmas
“Leadership is a choice, empowering those around you, making the choice to lift your staff up and support them. Inspiring and influencing with positivity and sharing ideas. Choosing to lead also means facing challenges, taking risks, and perserving through advertisty.” – Nicole Behnke
These individuals will be honored at WHCA/WiCAL’s 73rd Annual Fall Convention & Expo on October 24.
